Dreams Goal List

Dream Goal List

Several years ago at New Year's my friend and mentor Dr. Inge Wetzel sent me a "Dream Goals list".  This list went beyond a simple listing of resolutions to include room stratagize ways to accomplish them.  I suggest copying and printing this list, print and complete a page II and III for each of the goals you are serious about accomplishing.  Refer back to the completed sheets often to keep you motivated and on track.   Inge included a fourth page to post pictures which would inspire you and keep you focused.  I think the bathroom mirror is the best place for these photos.  Tape a picture of yourself at a healthier weight, the beach in Hawaii, or a dollar bill on your mirror so you begin each day thinking and planning how to make that goal come to pass.

DREAM GOAL LIST:

1. Record anything you want to become or accomplish:

GOAL SHEET II

A written goal provides a strong statement of your intent and the results to be achieved. Goal statements contain these elements:

A goal is an accomplishment to be achieved

A measurable outcome

A specific date and time to accomplish the goal

A maximum amount of time/resources allowed to achieve the goal

1. My goal/desire: (write your goal down as if you have already obtained it,

e.g. I am enjoying walking on the beach in Hawaii with my husband)

a. I absolutely deserve my goal or desire: Write down why this goal should become a reality.

b. Why accomplishing this goal will bring me pleasure: This will inspire you to accomplish your goal.

c. Why NOT accomplishing my goal will bring me pain: Record specific consequences of not fulfilling your goal.

d. Positive mentors: Select and record who you want to be like and why:
